The Grandi Giardini Italiani are the protagonists of the eighth edition of Appointment in the Garden, promoted by APGI-Associazione Parchi e Giardini d'Italia, with the support of Ales Spa
Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June it will be possible to participate in events and activities hosted in parks and gardens throughout Italy, some of which will be open exceptionally.
Born in agreement with Rendez-vous aux jardins, the initiative will take place simultaneously in over 20 European countries. Each year a different theme is suggested: an invitation to always look at the garden in a new way. The theme of the 2025 edition will be ''Stone Gardens, Garden Stones''.
An event particularly eagerly awaited by the public, increasingly aware of the fact that gardens - with their historical, artistic, botanical and landscape value - are authentic 'open-air museums'.
As in previous editions, there will be many actors involved: gardeners, botanists, landscapers, private owners and public managers, important foundations and associations with the aim of telling the universe of the garden, its fragility, its cultural and environmental relevance, its importance for the well-being of individuals and the community.
The event will allow the public to range from emblematic historical places to small amateur gardens, from botanical gardens to more contemporary areas.
