A land of encounters and passages, of minds capable of creating, innovating, and daring, Varese has over time generated numerous talents and welcomed many others. Villa e Collezione Panza-Bene FAI, which has been home to some, today embraces this legacy and inaugurates a new project dedicated to the city and its most significant voices.
The initiative takes shape in the very spaces where Giuseppe Panza, who chose this area as his home, developed his thinking and honed a vision capable of transcending geographical and cultural boundaries, bringing Varese to the world and the world to Varese. This heritage becomes a starting point for learning and reflecting together with those who were educated in this area and who have left a profound mark on it.
Starting in February 2026, the FAI - Italian Environment Fund will inaugurate a series of meetings at Villa Panza dedicated to personalities whose paths have intertwined with this land, by birth or by choice, distinguishing themselves in the fields of research, innovation, and creativity. From art to science, from technology to economics, these events aim to restore the city's awareness of a value worthy of recognition and valorization.
Conceived as moments open to the community, the meetings are intended as opportunities for sharing experiences, knowledge, and different disciplines, with the aim of stimulating dialogue on the role of culture, research, and innovation in the contemporary context.
With this project, the FAI invites the public, and especially the citizens of Varese, to come, return, and visit Villa Panza not only as a house-museum and exhibition venue, but as a vibrant, open, and welcoming place for exchange and discussion. A space to reread part of history and rediscover the profound identity of this area, in the spirit of Giuseppe Panza di Biumo.
The first of a series of events still being finalized is Villa Panza meets Maria Pierro with Matteo Inzaghi.
