Journey to discover Italy's most beautiful rose gardens
To the rose, the queen among flowers, which has always marked the most romantic moments in life, Grandi Giardini Italiani, the network of the most beautiful gardens to visit in Italy, dedicates an itinerary: In the Name of the Rose.
Every year Grandi Giardini Italiani promotes visits to selected gardens from its circuit, as an opportunity to get to know or rediscover important collections of old and modern roses.
This is how the In the Name of the Rose itinerary was born, a journey to discover the most beautiful rose gardens in our circuit, which boast within them important collections of roses drawing labyrinths, such as that of the Castle of Roses of Cordovado (Cordovado, PN), flowering avenues, such as the Viale delle Rose of the Parco Giardino Sigurtā (Vialeggio sul Mincio, VR), or angel-wing shaped ones, such as the Roseto Vacunae Rosae (Roccantica, RI), to name but a few.
In the Name of the Rose is a special invitation to discover the romantic and extraordinary rose blooms within the circuit of the Great Italian Gardens, following its flowering cycle, which differs from region to region.
Since 2020 In the Name of the Rose has also been an itinerary for discovering the Rosa Grandi Giardini ItalianiŽ a bushy, large-flowered, upright rose with dense, dark green foliage, highly resistant to disease and with an intense perfume. The Rose is intended to be a souvenir, an olfactory reminder of a day spent in a network garden.
