The Fondazione Cosso presents Grazia Toderi. Teatro Terra, a major exhibition dedicated to the artistic practice of Grazia Toderi, hosted within the historic setting of the Castello di Miradolo (San Secondo di Pinerolo, Turin).
The exhibition project creates a dialogue between contemporary art, architecture, and the landscape, inviting the public to reflect on the relationship between the Earth, the cosmos, and the human gaze. The two terms-“Earth” (“Terra”) and “Theater” (“Teatro”)-serve as the coordinates for a journey that transforms the castle's rooms into a vast space for observation and representation.
The exhibition brings together over sixty works created from the late 1980s to the present-many of them previously unseen-spread across the thirteen rooms of the first floor. Video projections, drawings, photographs, raw clay, glazed terracotta, and light installations guide the visitor through an immersive experience in which the perception of space is constantly shifting.
The artworks engage with the frescoes, decorative elements, and historical legacy of the residence, while also incorporating the surrounding landscape. The rooms become spaces for exploring new perspectives, observing the transformations of matter, and questioning how technology has altered our vision of the world.
The exhibition unfolds across the Manica Storica, Manica Nuova, and Manica Nobile (the historic, new, and noble wings of the castle), weaving together themes that range from the representation of the Earth and satellite imagery to light, music, and the vastness of the cosmos.
The exhibition is curated by Roberto Galimberti, with general coordination by Paola Eynard and iconographic consulting by Enrica Melossi. An opportunity to discover the artistic language of one of the leading figures in contemporary Italian art and to experience the Castello di Miradolo through a fresh perspective-a blend of visual allure, research, and imagination.
Admission to the exhibition is included in the Castello's general entry ticket.
