On the occasion of the exhibition Josef Albers: Meditations, Villa e Collezione Panza-Bene FAI offers a special guided tour dedicated to the research of the great twentieth-century master and the relationship between his work and the collecting sensibility of Giuseppe Panza di Biumo.

An unconventional itinerary where the visit becomes an experience of active observation and experimentation, establishing a dialogue between the temporary exhibition and the permanent collection of Villa Panza.
Inspired by Albers's famous text, ''The Interaction of Color,'' participants will engage in a series of visual exercises to explore how changeable and relative color perception is. Through direct observation of the works, we will explore phenomena such as simultaneous contrast, the afterimage effect, and the mutual influence of hues.
The tour will also explore the connections between Albers's chromatic exploration and the works in Villa Panza's permanent collection, from installations by Dan Flavin and James Turrell, where color becomes space and light, to the monochromatic experiments of American artists of the 1980s.
This visit transforms Villa Panza into a true laboratory of visual awareness, inviting the public not only to observe the works, but to question their own way of seeing.
