From August 28th to 30th, Villa del Grumello and Villa Saporiti will host the fifth edition of ''Villa del Grumello. Danza,'' a contemporary dance festival conceived and organized by the Associazione Villa del Grumello, under the artistic direction of Chiara Bignami and in collaboration with Marta Lucchini.
Part of the multi-year Ecotonality project, the festival explores new forms of inhabiting and living together through dance, performance, and participatory practices.
Bodies, places, and landscapes connect to create new ways of being in space and community, in a continuous process of listening, connection, and transformation.

The program brings together some of the most interesting contemporary dance and Italian dance-theater artists, with shows, traveling performances, workshops, meetings, and practices open to participation.
A festival designed for adults, children, families, dancers, artists, and the simply curious, where the audience is not just a spectator but becomes an active participant in the experience.

Traveling performance by Stefania Tansini, an immersive experience inspired by an early text by Antonin Artaud. Body and space enter into dialogue, inviting the audience to look at the environment with new eyes.
🌳 We Were All There - 9:00 PM, Villa del Grumello
Preview of Amina Amici's show, inspired by the poetry of Giancarlo Majorino. A collective body that connects humans, animals, and nature, reflecting on the sense of belonging and the interdependence of all life forms. - Saturday, August 29

A meeting dedicated to the relationship between humans and dogs, led by Sergio Ghidelli, to explore communication, language, and coexistence between humans and nonhumans.

A workshop open to all, led by ALOT, dedicated to traditional oral polyphonic songs and building community through voice and listening.
🐌 Firmato Ribelle - 10:30 am, Villa del Grumello
A show for children and families by the Swiss company ClassAttori, featuring a curious snail who transcends the boundaries of his lawn to discover ecology, encounters, and others.
🌳 Danze Corsare - 11:30 am, Parco del Grumello
A traveling performance by Valentina Dal Mas, produced by Abbondanza Bertoni, transforms the lawns, paths, and views of the park into an open-air stage.
A festival that engages the community
Special initiatives also include I Vecchi Saggi, a dance-theater workshop led by Valentina Dal Mas and dedicated to residents of some Como nursing homes.
A project that focuses on the body as a custodian of memories, enhancing expression, connection, and sharing.
