A special appointment with one of the greatest protagonists of Italian contemporary art.
On Saturday, August 29, Maestro Emilio Isgrò will be at Arte Sella (Borgo Valsugana, Trento) to officially present The Harmonium of the Mad Larks, the monumental installation co-produced by the Brescia Museums Foundation and Arte Sella.
The work was presented for the first time as part of the ''Isgrò cancels Brixia'' project, hosted between 2022 and 2023 by the Archaeological Park of Roman Brescia and the Museum of Santa Giulia. Located in the museum's cloister, the installation was distinguished by its enigmatic form: a large harmonium with a sequence of piano keys around its perimeter, evoking the relationship between music, memory, and silence-central themes in the artist's poetics.
Today, ''The Harmonium of the Mad Larks'' finds its permanent home in the landscape of Malga Costa, within Arte Sella, in the space identified by Isgrò himself, where the work enters into dialogue with nature and becomes an integral part of the open-air museum.
The presentation on August 29th represents a unique opportunity to meet Maestro Emilio Isgrò and attend the official inauguration of the work in the location chosen to house it permanently.
