July 7th marks a special anniversary: Pinocchio's birthday. 145 years have passed since July 7, 1881, when the first installment of a story destined to conquer the world was published in the children's newspaper.
Today, the Pinocchio Park and the Carlo Collodi National Foundation-under the new leadership of President Giordano Bruno Guerri-celebrate this anniversary within an extraordinary 2026, marked by the Bicentenary of the Birth of Carlo Collodi (Carlo Lorenzini) and the 70th Anniversary of the Park. For the occasion, official translations of Collodi's masterpiece have reached a historic record of 200 languages and dialects worldwide.
