Villa del Grumello kicks off the cultural season with Humanities Festival: Landscapes in Transformation, scheduled for 17-19 April.
The event is an invitation to 'inhabit the landscape' by adopting a stance - that is, choosing how to be and where to linger, when to move through it and with whom to coexist. Between boundaries and transgressions, habit and disorientation, inhabiting is a situated, relational practice that creates a sense of belonging, seeks protection and involves care, listening and transformation. It is the individual who becomes a community by resonating with the other-human and non-human-recognising and inhabiting the landscape as a complex interweaving of presences, stories, tensions and possibilities. Every landscape is like an ecotone: a place of transition, of encounter, of negotiation, of generative mixtures and of exchange.
The event is organised by Associazione Villa del Grumello, with the support of Fondazione Cariplo.
The festival will continue in May with two events on Friday 8 and Friday 22 at 6.15 pm.
All events are free of charge, but booking is required. Book here!
If you are unable to attend, please let us know in advance by emailing parco@villadelgrumello.it so that others may register.
