From October 8, 2026, to February 14, 2027, the Art Rooms of the Reggia di Venaria (Venaria Reale, Turin) will host the exhibition ''Les Modernes. From Matisse to Bacon,'' an extraordinary journey through 20th-century painting from the collections of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon.
Les Modernes offers a unique look at the evolution of European modern art, exploring the creative language that revolutionized the last century. The exhibition features a selection of works by the great masters:
◆ Henri Matisse
◆ Pablo Picasso
◆ André Derain
◆ Jean Dubuffet
◆ Wifredo Lam
◆ Hans Hartung
◆ Simon Hantaï
◆ Francis Bacon
and many others.
The exhibition highlights the radical transformations of artistic language: from the purity of form and color, to the dramatic tensions of Expressionism and postwar figurative art, to the most daring explorations of creative freedom of the last century.
An unmissable opportunity to understand how twentieth-century art redefined aesthetics, perception, and the imagination.
The exhibition, curated by Sylvie Ramond, is organized in collaboration with: Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, Manifesto Expo, MondoMostre.
