The garland, one of the symbols that best represent Christmas and its magic, is an ancient art, a decoration rooted in ancient times and traditions, with a strong symbolic meaning. Its meanings and representations have intertwined over the centuries between religion and folk traditions.
They represent a symbol of hope, renewal, unity, and the eternal cycle of life, thanks also to their components such as evergreens and berries.
For three consecutive weekends in December until Christmas, in the Gardens of Alassio you can prepare your own wreath in a unique and unmissable workshop.
THE WORKSHOP
After a brief introduction to the holiday atmosphere and the traditions associated with these decorations, participants will immerse themselves in creating their own Christmas wreath, creating the composition entirely from scratch.
Guided step by step, they will learn the basic composition techniques, working with natural materials inspired by the shapes and colors of the Garden.
The workshop will take place in the charming Gardeners' Greenhouse.
All the plant materials used, such as cypress branches, pine cones, and other elements, were collected in the Park and expertly selected and hand-painted by our gardeners, ready to be transformed into a wreath!
