From Saturday, September 27th to Sunday, February 1st, the Sala delle Arti of the Reggia di Venaria (Venaria Reale, Turin) hosts the exhibition ''Fernand Léger! Yves
Klein, Niki de Saint Phalle, Keith Haring…'' dedicated to Fernand Léger and his connection and influence on the New Realist movement,
presenting 70 works in total.
THE EXHIBITION
Drawing primarily from the collections of the Musée national Fernand Léger in Biot and the Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain (MAMAC) in Nice, along with prestigious loans from the Centre Pompidou and the Archives Yves Klein in Paris, the exhibition brings together over 30 works by Fernand Léger (Argentan 1881 - Gif-sur-Yvette 1955), a pioneer of modern art, in close comparison with European and American avant-garde artists active from the 1960s to the present.
The exhibition highlights the strong historical and artistic connection between Léger's work and the generation of French artists who immediately followed him, known as the New Realists, presenting 70 works in total.
The exhibition was conceived and designed to ensure accessibility and
visitor inclusion, in accordance with the objectives that distinguish the
various initiatives and activities of the Reggia di Venaria.
