- GUIDED TOURS of the D'Annunzio Rooms
In the summer of 1917, the Castle of San Pelagio became a strategic point during the Great War. The Zaborra family signed a lease with the Italian army for the construction of an airfield and the occupation of part of the villa. The first-floor apartments, in particular, became the residence of Major Gabriele d'Annunzio. The rooms, redecorated according to archival sources, are now open to visitors. Memories of the poet-soldier's life and flight are preserved there, as well as furnishings from the Zaborra family.
Visiting hours: weekdays 11:00 AM, 4:00 PM; holidays 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 5:00 PM; participation guaranteed with

- MUSEUM OF FLIGHT
Inaugurated on September 20, 1980, the Museum of Flight occupies the two wings of the San Pelagio Castle, the main building and the country house. Through thematic sections, the museum traces the main stages in the evolution of the means of flight that led man to the discovery of the sky and space. The ancient granaries, cellars, and living quarters of the Zaborra family are now on display, revealing stories of legendary flights, visionary scientists, hot air balloons and dirigibles, airplanes, seaplanes, and spacecraft. - HISTORICAL PARK

During your visit, you can breathe in the scent of a thousand rose bushes in the State Garden, between the two wings of the villa; visit the Secret Garden and its treasures; explore the Brolo, the Ice House, the Labyrinths, and stroll along the avenue of centuries-old hornbeams and around the romantic pond, admiring original examples of flying vehicles.
