Starting Thursday, July 3, and continuing throughout the month, the Gardens of Villa della Pergola (Alassio, Savona), in addition to the popular guided tours of the Park with a focus on the collection, are offering an even more immersive experience: the ''Agapanthus Experience.''
This is a unique and educational experience in the heart of one of the most fascinating gardens in Europe, a rare opportunity to discover one of the iconic flowers of the Gardens of Villa della Pergola up close.
The guided tour will lead participants to discover the areas of the garden where the Agapanthus takes center stage: a chance to observe some of the over 500 varieties of the most important collection in Europe up close and understand their characteristics, growth patterns, and seasonality.
The Gardens of Villa della Pergola team will then lead the Masterclass in a dedicated space in the historic Chapel of the Madonna del Buon Vento, adjacent to the Garden, a secluded and evocative setting.
During the masterclass, the various parts of the plant will be explored, interesting facts and stories shared, and participants will watch a practical demonstration of cutting the rhizome for propagation, helping them understand the proper propagation and care of this fascinating plant.
The masterclasses will be held Thursday through Monday, with two sessions daily at 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The total duration is approximately 1.5 hours.
Seats are limited, so reservations are strongly recommended. here.
