From June 19 to July 28, the dreamlike and anthropomorphic world of Marta Roberti invades Palazzo Boncompagni in Bologna. An exhibition that intertwines myth, nature and history in a unique dialogue between contemporary art and the ancient architectural splendor of the home of Pope Gregory XIII.
Palazzo Boncompagni opens its doors to the poetic and visionary universe of Marta Roberti, one of the most original artists on the contemporary scene. Her works transform the spaces of the palace into an imaginative habitat populated by sphinxes, archaic goddesses, exotic animals and hybrid creatures, offering visitors an evocative journey between metamorphosis and mythology.
The artist's creatures will populate both the external loggia and the internal spaces of the Boncompagnina, until reaching the monumental Scala del Vignola. The works of Marta Roberti establish an intimate dialogue with the architecture and decorations of the Boncompagnina, where grotesques on a white background, unreal landscapes, fantastic animals and mythological deities seem to mirror themselves in her drawn creatures: from Athena to Aphrodite, from Ceres to Fortuna, each figure evokes a bridge between ancient times and contemporary sensibility.
The exhibition ''Giungla a Palazzo'' by Maria Roberti, curated by Silvia Evangelisti, can be visited from June 19 to July 28.
