The Rocca di Lonato del Garda (Lonato del Garda, BS) hosts Benācus, a photography exhibition curated by Costanza Lunardi. Dedicated to the landscape and natural heritage of Lake Garda, the exhibition presents the region through the lens of photographer Giorgio Attilio Mutti (1953-2026).
A selection of 50 photographs, taken over the course of forty years, depicts Lake Garda and the surrounding moraine hills, following the rhythm of the four seasons. Alongside well-known landscapes, the images reveal woodlands, seasonal blooms, birdlife, and natural vistas that capture both the richness and the fragility of this unique territory.
The exhibition is based on the collection published in the book *Benācus mater temporis. Il lago e le colline moreniche* (2025) and pays tribute to Mutti's lifelong work of observation.
The exhibition opens on Saturday, September 30, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
