Villa Gregoriana-Fai Property invites you to participate on Saturday, September 12th, in a special event dedicated to discovering the area: Life Stories.
With autumn upon us, Tivoli is preparing to celebrate Tiburtino September, a tradition deeply rooted in the city's culture and history.
During this period, the characteristic Pizzutello bunches, the grape that has become one of Tivoli's symbols over time, are proudly displayed in the streets and market squares.
🍇 A journey through history, myths, and traditions
A special guided tour will accompany participants in discovering the history of Pizzutello, retracing a tradition that has its roots in the 19th century.
The story begins in 1845, when a majestic triumphal arch decorated with pizzutello and pergolese bricks was erected for the visit of Pope Gregory XVI, and then travels through centuries of history, myths, and legends.
A journey that will also ideally take you to the tables of ancient Romans and popes, where wine has accompanied moments of conviviality, celebration, and daily life for centuries. 🍷
🥂 The Tasting
At the end of the walk, the experience will continue with a tasting of wines from Villa Caviciana, the first agricultural property of the FAI, immersed in one of the most important wine-growing areas in Lazio: the Lake Bolsena area.
An opportunity to explore the connection between territory, agricultural culture, and wine production, through the wines of a place that combines landscape protection and the valorization of local products.
📍 Meet at the historic ticket office of Villa Gregoriana, Largo Sant'Angelo 1
🥂 The cost of the tasting is 6 and is included in the ticket price.
⚠️ Reservations required
The event will take place upon reaching a minimum number of participants.
