A special evening where art, literature, and historical-artistic heritage meet in the evocative setting of Villa Necchi Campiglio-Property of the FAI in Milan.
In collaboration with the Festival of Beauty, the villa is exceptionally opening its gates beyond its usual closing time to host an event dedicated to one of the most fascinating figures of twentieth-century culture.
🎭 Mayakovsky, of genius, love, and other demons
At Villa Necchi Campiglio, Barbara Alberti will deliver a lecture dedicated to Vladimir Mayakovsky, a dazzling and controversial poet, a symbol of an era marked by idealism, revolution, passion, and the extraordinary artistic flowering of the twentieth century.
A journey through Mayakovsky's life and universe, encompassing genius, love, violence, and utopia, through the figures who accompanied his personal and artistic journey: Pasternak, Tsvetaeva, Yesenin, Larisa Rejsner, and the complex cultural reality of revolutionary Russia.
A tale that intertwines poetry, history, and biography, and finds an ideal setting in the villa designed by Piero Portaluppi, in keeping with the philosophy of the Festival of Beauty: art within art.
