Special guided tours of the restoration project at Villa Fogazzaro Roi-Bene FAI (Oria di Valsolda, CO), offering a close-up look at the work and expertise of those who care for the Villa and its interiors every day.
As part of the ''Open for Restoration'' initiative, the usual tour of the villa's rooms will be joined by a special opening of the Siberia Hall, where restoration work is currently underway.
This is an opportunity to experience Villa Fogazzaro Roi from a new perspective and discover the conservation work that preserves its rooms and decorations: from daily care to the restoration work itself.
The restorers themselves, along with a representative from the FAI Restoration and Conservation Office, will accompany visitors, illustrating the techniques and various operational phases of the project. Visitors will be able to observe the details and colors of the murals up close, both before and after the restoration.
Two one-hour tours are scheduled, at 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. After the restoration of the mural paintings in the Dining Room, work now continues in the Siberia Room.
Special tours are also made possible thanks to the availability of restorer Eliana Tovagliaro.
