Verde Grazzano

The Festival dedicated to those who experience nature with wonder

Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th, in the evocative setting of the Grazzano Visconti Castle Park (Grazzano Visconti, PC), ''Verde Grazzano'' returns, the prestigious exhibition-market dedicated to nursery gardening, botany, and artisanal excellence, now in its ninth edition.

THE EVENT
For two days, the Piacenza village will be transformed into a meeting place for gardening enthusiasts, collectors, and nature lovers, featuring some of Italy's most respected nursery gardeners, along with specialized artists and artisans. The program features conversations, themed walks, workshops, hands-on demonstrations, conferences, guided tours, and artistic activities, offering the opportunity to meet directly with experts and leaders in the green culture.

The Exhibitors
The 2026 edition will feature Eye on Green, with a refined selection of tropical plants, honey plants, and hibiscus; Iris dal Bosco, specializing in over 170 varieties of bearded irises; Fenix Floricultura, with its collections of annual and perennial herbaceous plants; and Hoya Mia, dedicated to the fascinating tropical Hoyas, which will be present alongside author Agostina Righi to present the ''Practical Manual on Hoya Cultivation.''
There will also be space for the world of chrysanthemums with The Garden of Eden, for citrus fruits with Oscar Tintori, who will present the book ''The Journey of Citrus Fruits in Italy - Routes and Curiosities of Regional Cultivars,'' and for the great tradition of roses with Rose Barni, a historic company specializing in rose cultivation and research since 1882. For succulent plant enthusiasts, Planet Cactus will bring a selection of cacti with sculptural forms and surprising geometries.

Workshops, Workshops, Demonstrations
Enriching the market-exhibition is a program of workshops, demonstrations, and meetings with experts. Among the unmissable experiences are the kokedama workshop with Glauco Marini of The Hanging Garden, dedicated to the ancient Japanese technique that transforms plants into evocative aerial sculptures; The bonsai workshop with Studio Botanico led by master Salvatore Liporace, where you can try your hand at modeling a pomegranate; and the basic basketweaving course with Ettore Gastini, to rediscover the ancient art of weaving.
There's also room for creativity and new ways to experience nature: with Hobby Jungle, you can discover the secrets of terrariums and learn how to recreate a small tropical oasis at home; Ironica Flower will bring iron and Corten sculptures inspired by flowers, animals, and natural forms, while Il Buco nel Legno will present handcrafted furniture and decorations for gardens and terraces. Simona and Sylvain from Le Terre della Torre will offer vases, sculptures, lamps, and jewelry handmade from clay.

Greenery for Pets
Verde Grazzano is also dedicating special attention to the animal world and countryside traditions this year. The Lombardy Animal Biodiversity Association will guide visitors through farmyard animals and traditional farms, while the Piacenza Provincial Truffle Hunters Association will offer a simulated truffle hunt with trained dogs.
For those who want to make green spaces more welcoming for their pets, there will be advice from Laura Storero, an expert in pet-friendly garden and balcony design. Artist Daniela Cilurzo will also create commissioned animal portraits, alongside her glass creations and origami-inspired works.

Crafts
There will also be a section dedicated to creativity and artisanal fashion, with hand-sewn women's clothing by Camilla Zilli, tailored bags by Loredana Lo Iacono, and artisanal millinery by La Paul in Testa.
A program designed for those who love greenery in all its forms: to cultivate, design, create, and experience. An opportunity to meet professionals and enthusiasts, discover new trends, and be inspired by nature, craftsmanship, and the beauty of the landscape.
