Astronomers for a Night
August 8 and 9, September 5, 2026
Villa Della Porta Bozzolo-Bene FAI exceptionally opens its doors in the evening for ''Astronomers for a Night,'' an event dedicated to exploring the sky in collaboration with the G.V. Schiaparelli Astronomical Observatory.
In the Villa's scenic park, enthusiasts and the curious will be able to observe the Moon and planets guided by the Observatory's astronomers. The images captured by the telescopes will be projected in real time on a large screen, offering an immersive experience suitable for everyone.
On the evenings of August 8 and 9, it will also be possible to enjoy a picnic in the park, prepared by Varese-based chef Marco Dossi of Love in the Kitchen. The picnic box, available with prosecco (Gelso Box) or soft drink (Tiglio Box), includes a stuffed focaccia, savory vegetable strudel, Sicilian caponata, a first course, water, and a soft drink.
Vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options are available upon request.

The picnic ticket includes admission to the Villa and park, astronomical observation, and a picnic box.
Reservations are required and close 24 hours before the event. Additional refreshments and products will be available for purchase at the picnic area.
On August 8th and 9th, the picnic box can be picked up between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The astronomical observation will begin at 9:00 PM, and the event is scheduled to close around 11:00 PM.
