Throughout the month of August, including Ferragosto (August 15), Villa Visconti Borromeo Litta in Laintae (MI) opens its doors with afternoon and evening guided tours, offering the opportunity to discover one of the most extraordinary Renaissance complexes in Lombardy.
The highlight of the tour is the famous Nymphaeum, where the historic 16th-century water features, still operated according to ancient tradition by the Villa's fountain makers, amaze adults and children with spectacular scenic effects, providing coolness and wonder on hot summer days.
The program also includes the return of ''Nymphaeum under the Stars,'' an evening experience scheduled every Saturday in August and September, from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM: an evocative itinerary featuring water features, soft lighting, and a nocturnal atmosphere that enhances the Villa's timeless charm.
Guided tours, organized by the Friends of Villa Litta Association, also include the 16th- and 18th-century frescoed rooms, the Italian Gardens, the monumental Galatea and Neptune fountains, and the historic park, for a comprehensive journey through art, architecture, and landscape.
