The Pojega Garden-Villa Rizzardi (Negrar, VR) is among the Great Italian Gardens featured in the 2026 edition of Appuntamento in Giardino, the event promoted by APGI-Associazione Parchi e Giardini d'Italia (Association of Parks and Gardens of Italy). In accordance with the Rendez-vous aux jardins initiative, it will take place simultaneously in over 20 European countries.
The theme of this edition, taking place on Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th, is ''The View,'' a gaze that allows us to read the signs of history and be surprised by beauty.
At the Pojega Garden, this theme finds one of its most fascinating interpretations. Designed in the late 18th century by architect Luigi Trezza, this oasis amidst the Valpolicella vineyards was born as a refined example of an Italian garden, but stands out for its ability to transcend its confines. The rigorous geometry and ordered perspectives of the formal section are complemented by a freer and more evocative dimension in the upper area, inspired by the English picturesque style, rich in natural views, changes in level, and sudden openings onto the landscape.
