Presentation of the book Chaos (and) Order in the Garden

On Saturday, May 23, at 10:00 a.m., in the Gymnasium of the Botanical Garden of the University of Palermo, the Radicepura Foundation presents ''Chaos (and) Order in the Garden,'' a book published by Libreria della Natura, dedicated to the design experiences and reflections born within the Radicepura Garden Festival.

The book traces the work of ten international teams of designers under 36 from France, Hong Kong, India, Iceland, Italy, Spain, and the United States, protagonists of past editions of the festival. Through gardens, landscapes, and installations, the book explores the relationship between chaos and order in the contemporary garden, understood as a space for dialogue, balance, and coexistence between humanity and nature.

The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss the value of landscape design as a cultural, ecological, and social practice, capable of generating places that respect ecosystems and are open to biodiversity, transformation, and surprise.

Speakers will include Mario Faro, Vice President of the Radicepura Foundation, Rosario Schicchi and Manlio Speciale, Director and Curator, respectively, of the Botanical Garden, along with landscape architects Giada Straci and Monica Torrisi, creators of Mira, one of the winning gardens of the fifth edition of the biennial.

During the meeting, the theme of the sixth edition of the Radicepura Garden Festival will also be presented: ''Gardens of Hope. Cultivating Coexistence,'' which will also guide the new call for ideas for young designers under 36.

Admission is free, subject to availability.
