On Saturday, April 4th, at 3:00 PM, the Giardino dei Ciucioi (Lavis, Trento) will host an experiential workshop dedicated to discovering the world of insects through direct observation in nature.
Participants, led by biologist Simone Filippo, will use entomological nets and observation jars to temporarily capture insects present in the garden, while fully respecting the animals.
During the activity, participants will:
Each participant will record their discoveries in the ''insect passport,'' a symbolic tool that will accompany the entire workshop.
The experience concludes with a playful and reflective moment dedicated to the theme of functional biodiversity.
🎯 Objectives
Participants, led by biologist Simone Filippo, will use entomological nets and observation jars to temporarily capture insects present in the garden, while fully respecting the animals.
During the activity, participants will:
- safely observe insects up close
- recognize their morphological characteristics
- distinguish between beneficial insects (pollinators and predators) and phytophagous insects
Each participant will record their discoveries in the ''insect passport,'' a symbolic tool that will accompany the entire workshop.
The experience concludes with a playful and reflective moment dedicated to the theme of functional biodiversity.
🎯 Objectives
- Understand insects and their role in ecosystems
- Distinguish between pollinating, predatory, and phytophagous insects
- Develop scientific observation skills
