In the heart of Valpolicella, within the historic Rizzardi family estate, lies the Giardino di Pojega (Negrar, VR): an extraordinary example of an Italian garden, renowned for its evocative green theatre and dramatic views that blend nature and architecture in perfect harmony.
Created in 1783 from the vision of Count Antonio Rizzardi and designed by architect Luigi Trezza, the Garden represents a refined balance between classical formality and romantic sensibility. Conceived as a place of entertainment for noble guests, it retains its charm intact today, offering an immersive experience of art, landscape, and symbolism.
Spread across 54,000 square meters and divided into three levels, the Garden extends along the hillside with a rich succession of settings: from the Belvedere to the Tempietto, from the Green Theatre to the Pond. Themed itineraries-such as the Path of the Day, the Path of the Night, and the Path of Knowledge-lead visitors on an evocative journey that intertwines nature and reflection.
After a major restoration and enhancement project, the Pojega Garden reopens to the public on Saturday, March 28, 2026, ushering in a new season filled with experiences.
In addition to visiting the Garden, visitors can discover the wines of the Guerrieri Rizzardi estate at the on-site wine shop, located in the charming 18th-century courtyard.
The events calendar will accompany visitors until October with a rich program, starting with special Easter Monday initiatives, continuing with creative workshops and children's activities, and culminating in the Therapeutic Garden Days at the end of May, dedicated to well-being and mindfulness.
