The Bulb Festival returns to the Botanical Gardens of Villa Taranto (VB), the spectacular bloom of over 80,000 bulbs that has celebrated the arrival of spring on the shores of Lake Maggiore since 1957. This unmissable event enchants visitors every year with new harmonies of colors, the fruit of the creativity and care of the park's expert gardeners.
During this period, the garden transforms into an extraordinary natural palette: thousands of bulbs, belonging to approximately 70 varieties of different shapes and colors, paint the lawns and flowerbeds, creating unique and ever-changing scenes.
The undisputed star is the famous Tulip Labyrinth: an evocative winding path of approximately 400 meters that envelops visitors in an immersive atmosphere, amidst vibrant hues and surprising color combinations.
Among the most fascinating varieties are the peony-flowered tulips such as the ''Carnaval de Nice,'' the lily-flowered ones such as the ''Ballerina,'' and the elegant fringed varieties such as the ''Vincent van Gogh.'' The variety of colors is also extraordinary, with spectacular combinations such as the contrasting white and red in the upper part of the park.
A stroll through the flower-filled avenues thus becomes a complete sensory experience, amidst the scents and colors of nature. And in addition to tulips, the garden offers splendid blooms of hyacinths, camellias, magnolias, rhododendrons, daffodils, violets, and a striking blue carpet of grape hyacinths in bloom.
