The 30th edition of Zagara di Primavera returns from May 22-24, 2026 to the Palermo Botanical Garden with the traditional market-exhibition dedicated to horticulture and gardening.
A light breeze wafts the scent of orange blossoms through the avenues of the historic Botanical Garden, heralding three days dedicated to lovers of plants, flowers, and nature. Promoted, conceived, and organized by the Botanical Garden of the University Museum System (Unipa Heritage), the event celebrates its 30th edition this year.
For the occasion, over 60 exhibitors, including nursery gardeners and artisans from all over Italy will present a rich selection of plants, flowers, fruits, rare botanical collections, and quality artisanal products.
Zagara di Primavera thus confirms itself as an unmissable event for enthusiasts and the curious, offering a unique opportunity to discover new developments in the world of horticulture, purchase select plants, and meet industry experts.
The aim of the event is to promote botanical culture, biodiversity, and sustainable practices, creating a space for nursery gardeners, scholars, collectors, and the public to meet and share ideas.
The Program
The program will feature a rich program of activities designed to engage visitors of all ages. Among the events already confirmed:
◈ Book presentations dedicated to the botanical world
◈ Talks and meetings with experts on cultivation techniques and gardening curiosities
◈ Guided tours led by the Director of the Botanical Garden to discover the garden's history and collections
◈ Workshops and educational activities for children, including treasure hunts and creative activities
During the event, it will also be possible to visit the new Sala Tineo, recently inaugurated, which houses the permanent multimedia installation ''The Planet of Plants,'' an immersive experience combining technology and botany.
An experience of nature and beauty
Zagara di Primavera is much more than a market fair: it's an opportunity to spend three days immersed in nature, discover rare plants, learn new cultivation techniques, and share a passion for greenery.
Over the years, this event has become a beloved tradition in the city of Palermo, combining scientific education, botanical culture, and conviviality.
We look forward to celebrating the 30th edition together.
