From February 3 to June 3, 2026, Palazzo Boncompagni in Bologna hosts the exhibition ''Michelangelo Pistoletto. From Cittadellarte to Statodellarte,'' curated by Silvia Evangelisti.
This title unfolds as an exhibition journey spanning over sixty years of Michelangelo Pistoletto's research, bringing together historic works and emblematic projects. At the heart of the exhibition is the relationship between art, society, and politics, a founding theme of the artist's practice and the underlying theme of a reflection that intertwines individual responsibility and collective transformation.
The project is part of the dialogue initiated between Pistoletto and Palazzo Boncompagni in 2021, on the occasion of the exhibition Gregorio XIII e Michelangelo Pistoletto. Dal Rinascimento alla Rinascita, which marked the opening of the Palazzo to the city and the launch of a program dedicated to contemporary art.
With this exhibition, Palazzo Boncompagni hosts not only a retrospective, but an active cultural device, capable of connecting works, the public and contemporary debate.
La mostra ่ visitabile solo tramite visita guidata con prenotazione obbligatoria.
