Special Opening

Villa di Maser (Maser, Treviso), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, opens exceptionally to the public Thursday, January 29th and Saturday, January 31st, offering a unique opportunity to discover the garden in all its essential beauty and visit one of the absolute masterpieces of the Venetian Renaissance.

Designed by Andrea Palladio and still a residential home today, the Villa preserves the most important fresco cycle by Paolo Veronese. Only in Maser did the extraordinary encounter between the vision of the brothers Daniele and Marcantonio Barbaro, the innovative architecture of Palladio, the pictorial imagination of Veronese, and the decorative elegance of Alessandro Vittoria take place, giving rise to a milestone in the history of modern architecture.

Thanks to funding from the National Plan for the Recovery and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, the Villa's original layout has recently been restored as the center of its agricultural estate. The tours include historic gardens, centuries-old trees, ancient citrus trees, a nymphaeum, stables, and spaces accessible through multimedia systems, depending on the season.

Villa di Maser is today a vibrant place of culture, discussion, and research, open to new generations through guided tours, educational activities, meetings, concerts, and local initiatives.
