Villa La Rotonda in Vicenza will remain closed to the public until mid-March, but art and architecture enthusiasts, as well as international visitors, will still have the opportunity to discover one of Andrea Palladio's absolute masterpieces thanks to special guided tours scheduled for the weekend.
The initiative offers the opportunity to access the villa's exterior and interior spaces accompanied by an expert guide, choosing between two different tour options: the ''Smart'' tour, starting at 10:30 am, which takes sixty minutes to explore the garden and the Piano Nobile, and the ''Secrets of the Rotonda'' tour, starting at 12:00 pm, which takes eighty minutes to extend the itinerary to the Basement, revealing lesser-known historical and architectural details.
Many international tourists come to Italy for the Christmas holidays, and La Rotonda has also thought of them by organizing a guided tour in English.
The guided tour in English will be held on Saturday, December 20th, at 12:00 PM, and Saturday, February 21st, at 12:00 PM.
A unique opportunity to savor the international beauty of the Rotonda, pending its official reopening to the public.
Tours will be available with a minimum of ten participants.
