Every Sunday from 21 September to mid-December, at 10:00 and 11:00, take an hour's break and discover Palazzo Boncompagni, one of Bologna's hidden gems, with a guided tour of the interior and garden.
PALAZZO BONCOMPAGNI
In the historic centre of Bologna, a few steps from Piazza Maggiore, stands Palazzo Boncompagni: a refined 16th-century Renaissance palace and birthplace of Pope Gregory XIII, known for reforming the Gregorian calendar.
During the tour, participants will be guided through the frescoed rooms, the famous spiral staircase attributed to Vignola, the loggia with twisted columns and, exceptionally, the private garden, an enchanting and little-known green corner in the heart of the city.
