From September 14th to October 31st, visitors to the Pavia Botanical Garden can immerse themselves in the Mushroom Forest by Michel Vecchi, an Italian artist known for his cheerful and colorful mushroom-shaped sculptures made from fallen or unsafe trees.
The installation will be inaugurated in the presence of the artist on Saturday, September 13th at 4:00 PM.
The work is composed of large mushrooms that create a magical and joyful atmosphere, and aims to remind us of the importance of respecting nature and the need to rediscover a deeper connection with the environment around us. The ''forest'' is equipped with a sound system that transforms the electrical impulses of the mushrooms growing on the sculptures into music, making the visit even more evocative.
Furthermore, on Saturday, September 20th, on the occasion of Horti Aperti (September 19-21), the Pavia Botanical Garden is organizing a day of events for adults and children, focusing on the world of mushrooms, with particular emphasis on their relationship with art and health. Specifically, the Mushroom Forest will be the backdrop for a class by Sarah Mancino, yoga teacher and creative, entitled ''Relationship and Vibration'': an experience of bioenergetics, meditation, and voice to explore the relationship with oneself and the environment, drawing inspiration from the extraordinary world of mushrooms.
