Don't miss this summer's exclusive guided tour, “Between Villa and Temple'', an unmissable opportunity to discover the treasures of Villa Maser (Maser, TV): the frescoes inside the Villa di Maser by Paolo Veronese and the interior of the Tempietto, the work of Andrea Palladio.
You will thus be able to admire one of the most important treasures of the Venetian Renaissance: the six rooms magnificently frescoed by Paolo Veronese and the elegant stuccoes by Alessandro Vittoria, called upon to decorate the Villa built around the middle of the 16th century by the architect Andrea Palladio as the prestigious seat of the agricultural estate of the brothers Daniele and Marcantonio Barbaro. Palladio was responsible for the transformation of the old medieval palace owned by the family into a splendid country residence suitable for the study of the arts and intellectual contemplation.
From the Villa, the visit then proceeds to the Temple, one of the works dearest to its creator, the architect from Vicenza Andrea Palladio, who realised it at the end of his career, around 1580, crowning a long-cherished dream: that of building a church with a circular plan. The circle in fact, being infinite, is according to the architect the shape that comes closest to representing God. The building was commissioned to him by Marcantonio Barbaro who wanted to give the community of Maser a new parish church.
The guided tour, lasting just over an hour, is available upon reservation and runs on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from August 2 to September 28, in the morning and afternoon according to availability. Book now!
