From August 8th to 24th, Villa Carlotta (Tremezzina, CO) hosts the exhibition ''Ceramiche d'Autore'' curated by Cristina Caravello in the Romantic Tower of the garden.
Cristina Caravello presents a signature exhibition, after researching surfaces, materials, and colors in her workshop on the slopes of the Larian Triangle mountains.
The beauty of chipped rocks high in the mountains, stones smoothed by the river, the reflections of wind-lashed water, forest leaves... All that is beautiful in matter strikes and inspires, all coming together in unique pieces, crafted one by one, whether sculptures or everyday objects.
On display in the Romantic Tower of Villa Carlotta's garden are high-temperature stoneware and pit fire, a special firing technique performed in a wood-fired pit kiln.
