The Labirinto della Masone (Fontanellato, PR) opens the autumn season with the exhibition ''Knock Knock Knock. Iron Guardians from the Cesati Collection'' curated by Alessandro Cesati and Fondazione Franco Maria Ricci.
From 14 September 2025 to 6 January 2026, visitors will be guided to discover a unique collection of door knockers, more commonly known as battenti or batacchi. The images of doors portrayed by photographer Massimo Listri will dialogue with the exhibited artefacts, reinforcing the idea that links the ancient knockers to the concept of limit, passage or border.
An unprecedented ''chamber of wonders'', full of suggestions and meanings. Through the texts of Stefano Salis - which accompany the exhibition - we will explore the theme of the “physical passage” and “symbolic passage”: a theme more pertinent than ever in today's world, and on the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Labirinto della Masone, itself an emblem of a continuous crossing between interiority and the external world.
