Villa Bell'Aspetto in Nettuno inaugurates the 2025 season on Saturday 7 June on the occasion of ''Appuntamento in Giardino'', the initiative promoted by čAPGI-Associazione Parchi e Giardini d'Italia, with the support of Ales Spa.
Villa Bell'Aspetto, the enchanting jewel of the Lazio coast, enchants the visitor with its secret Italian garden, its perspective views towards the baroque palace and the panorama of the sea.
Designed in 1647 by the architect Antonio de Rossi commissioned by Cardinal Vincenzo Costaguti, from a place of leisure it then became, starting in 1832, a point of reference for the Borghese family when Camillo Borghese, widower of Paolina Bonaparte, bought the Villa. Since then the palace has undergone several modifications to adapt the spaces to a large family and all their guests.
The park, however, remained almost unchanged until today: an alternation between informal woodland and Italian garden designed to leave the spectator breathless. The scansion of the blooms in the main square was designed by the architect Paolo Pejrone while over the years it is with Lydia Borghese, with her enveloping personality, that the park has been enriched with numerous exotic botanical species. Care and enrichment that continue every day with the new generations.
Villa Bell'Aspetto can only be visited with a guided tour by reservation.
