Sunday 15 June sees the opening of the 2025 season of OCA - Oasy Contemporary Art and Architecture with a unique artistic and architectural itinerary. Immersed in the nature of Oasi Dynamo, in the Pistoia Apennines, under the artistic direction of Emanuele Montibeller - project manager, architect Roberto Castellani - the project offers visitors an experience in which art, architecture and landscape intertwine.
Immersed at high altitude in the lush nature of the oasis, visitors can admire the works of some of the most important contemporary architects and artists: Alejandro Aravena, Mariangela Gualtieri and Michele De Lucchi, Kengo Kuma, Quayola, David Svensson, Pascale Marthine Tayou and Matteo Thun. The installations, perfectly integrated into the environment, transform the walk into an act of discovery and wonder.
The journey begins already at the car park, in the locality of Croce di Piteglio, where visitors must leave their cars: OCA, in fact, can be reached on foot, with a walk through the woods of about half an hour. Coming out of the thicket of trees, one arrives at a large sunny plateau, where one is welcomed into what was once a stable, which now houses an exhibition space. This is where the circular route starts, guided by the park staff, which offers visitors insights into the works and the natural context that hosts them. The route takes about one and a half hours to walk among the works and the natural elements of the Oasis.
