The Banca Ifis International Sculpture Park was founded in 2023 at the request of the bank's President, Ernesto Fürstenberg Fassio, and is housed in the 16th-century Villa Fürstenberg in Mestre, Venice. In this art park, which is one of the greatest of its kind in Europe, you can admire the often monumental works of great masters of contemporary sculpture, both Italian and international, including Fernando Botero, Annie Morris, Park Eun Sun, Igor Mitoraj, Manolo Valdés, Pablo Atchugarry, Pietro Consagra, Roberto Barni, Julio Larraz, Philip Colbert, Nico Vascellari and Giuseppe Penone. The International Sculpture Park is set within over 22 hectares of garden, which contains numerous tree species, both broadleaf and coniferous, grassy expanses, flowering plants, pergolas, and an irregularly shaped pond that is particularly striking when the upright stems of the lotuses proudly support the rosy buds preparing to open their corollas.
The main avenue, which starts alongside the ancient vegetable garden, may have originally led to the first cultivated fields and then continued to the forest. In late spring, the majestic linden trees release their pungent fragrance, heralding the arrival of summer. As you emerge from the Villa's winter garden, a majestic structure forms a green vault: the space is graced by the pergola that holds up the wisteria. Metal arches draw your gaze to the gate leading into the sculpture park.
