Rattiflora is a prestigious family company which has worked for almost 80 years in floral and garden design, and in the study of floral arrangements for small and big events alike, from fashion shows to weddings.
The brand, based in Casnate con Bernate, in the province of Como, is well known internationally and in the floriculture sector, and has built up over the years a solid leadership outside national borders, acquiring orders from several countries such as United States, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Japan.
History
The success of Rattiflora is due to two brothers, Pierluigi and Alfredo Ratti, who lead the business founded in 1938 by their parents even today. A foreshadowed future, because in the 60's they attended the school of landscaping and horticultural engineering in Geneva, the best in Europe at the time, and after the completion of their studies they joined the company and became the creative and organizational minds behind Rattiflora's floral design.
In the 70's the brand became known in the fashion industry by working with the great names of the Italian style, and then established close collaborations with large
companies such as FIAT, world-renowned architects (including Renzo Piano), and prestigious hotel chains (Villa d'Este, Principe di Savoia e Palace Diana).
The company has also an active role in the organization of flower-related charitable initiatives, such as the annual fund raising azaleas sales for the
Italian Association for Multiple Sclerosis Research and the Italian Association for Cancer Research (www.aism.it – www.airc.it), and in the recovery of historic green
areas by working for the FAI(www.fondoambiente.it) and famous designers of the sector. Countless are the fairs, exhibitions, happenings, first nights at the theater,
parties and galas in the company's portfolio. “Ratti designed” flowers embellished many celebrities' weddings, including those of Boris Becker, Borromeo-Elkann, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna and Wayne Rooney.
Today
Nowadays Rattiflora's headquarter, near Como, covers a surface of over 50,000 m˛ with management offices, a landscape design studio, greenhouses and laboratories, where the creation of the floral arrangements and compositions delivered in Italy and all over the world takes place.
The current owners are Federico Ratti, Pierluigi's son, expert in floral scenic design and event organization, and Erica Ratti, Alfredo's daughter, who works in the garden designing sector. Rattiflora's operational staff is always in search of suppliers and artisans not only skilled, but also moved by the same tradition and culture of beauty of the company.
The company's aim is to provide clients with the best services and satisfy even the most demanding requests. Every single work, from wedding bouquets to complex floral compositions and scenographies, is realized to arouse strong and positive emotions.
In Rattiflora's view, research and development mean constant cooperation with contemporary art and avant-garde design, by organizing meetings, showings and exhibitions (the company has a marvelous event space in its headquarters). So the brand's cultural heritage constantly gets new lifeblood, becoming valuable teaching material and a source of significant cooperation with television programs shown on Rai and Mediaset networks.
